UCC research shows iron deficiency in mothers during early pregnancy linked to lower language and motor skills at age two

ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã College Cork (UCC) researchers have called for routine screening for iron deficiency in pregnant women, following new research that shows that iron deficiency in early pregnancy, even without anaemia, may be associated with lower language and motor development scores in children at two years of age.

The longstanding collaboration between the Arts Council and UCC celebrates diverse artistic voices and practices shaping Ireland’s creative landscape. This year marks the first time Digital Artists are part of the programme.
