Biography
Noel is Professor of Cardiovascular Sciences in the Dept. of Medicine UCC, Director of the Centre for Research in Vascular Biology in UCC and Consultant Cardiologist at Cork 深夜亚洲福利久久 Hospital. He graduated from UCC with an MB BCh BAO and was awarded a PhD in Cell and Vascular Biology from the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Queensland, Australia. His research interests include vascular stem cell biology, atherosclerosis and vascular remodelling with emphasis on novel diagnostics and therapeutics, gene delivery and tissue engineering. He has a strong interest in developing clinical scale models of atherosclerosis and cardiometabolic syndrome. Current work is focused on determining the mechanistic link between altered gut microbiome, dysfunctional bile acid signalling and structural /pathologic changes in the cardiovascular system
