UCC CI Participates in the 2026 Cork St Patrick鈥檚 Day Parade
On 17 March 2026, UCC CI led a Chinese cultural parade group in the Cork St Patrick鈥檚 Day celebrations. The group included UCC staff and students, members of the Chinese community in Ireland, and international participants.
Featuring dragon dance performers and participants dressed in Hanfu, Qipao, and traditional ethnic costumes, the 40-member group presented a vibrant display of Chinese culture along Cork city centre鈥檚 main streets. Participants carried Chinese and Irish national flags alongside festive decorations, attracting enthusiastic applause and praise from spectators and fellow parade groups.
UCC CI has participated in the Cork St Patrick鈥檚 Day Parade for many consecutive years as part of its ongoing efforts to integrate into the local community and promote China-Ireland cultural exchange.
Through a wide range of cultural activities, UCC CI continues to build bridges of mutual understanding between the peoples of China and Ireland. Looking ahead, the Institute will further strengthen cultural cooperation and provide more opportunities for Irish audiences to experience a real, multidimensional, and vibrant China.
