EY UCC CUBS Executive MBA Graduate of the Year Award

Kim Bolger O鈥� Mahony has been awarded the EY UCC CUBS Executive MBA Graduate of the Year Award for the 2023-25 programme. She receives the EY award for finishing top of the 2023-25 Executive MBA class.

Presenting the award Ronan Murray, EY Cork Office Managing Partner, said,

鈥淭he UCC CUBS Executive MBA programme plays a vital role in shaping future business leaders whose expertise will continue to drive the success of Cork and the wider Southern region.

As a proud UCC CUBS Executive MBA graduate and former recipient of this award, it is an honour to present this year鈥檚 award to Kim, whose outstanding academic performance and exceptional contribution to the programme are truly deserving of recognition.

UCC President Professor John O鈥� Halloran, who hosted the award ceremony, paid tribute to EY鈥檚 commitment to supporting business learning, particularly their support for the UCC CUBS Executive MBA programme. 

The Executive MBA Director, Professor Ronan Carbery, congratulated Kim for her academic achievements and her overall contributions across the two years of their programme. 

Thanking EY and commenting on her award, Kim said,

鈥淭he Executive MBA widened my view and sharpened my judgment - I鈥檓 better at joining the dots between people, numbers, and strategy.

Every module had some direct impact on my day-to-day work 鈥� some completely transforming the approach I take to solving problems for my clients.

The transformative personal and professional learning, the friendships made and support from the award-winning faculty at UCC made all the efforts worthwhile.

As a mum of two, I needed a programme that understood real life; UCC met me where I was and helped me go further than I thought possible at this stage in family life.

What set UCC apart was the camaraderie: classmates who became friends and a faculty who genuinely wanted us to grow.鈥�
