Women in Leadership Series Continues
Entrepreneur Niamh Murray was the featured guest in the second event of the College鈥檚 Women In Leadership series, which took place Wednesday, 30 November 2022 in the Dr Dora Allman Room.
Murray, a UCC alumna who graduated with a first-class honours BCL degree (Law and Business) in 2021, is the co-founder with fellow alumna Amy Boden, of ForgetMeNot, a mobile application which aims to aid communication between loved ones, carers and those living with dementia. ForgetMeNot uses reminiscence therapy employing sound and image prompts from a person鈥檚 past to stimulate memory and mental activity.
Murray was introduced by Dr Gillian Barrett of the Department of Management and Marketing, CUBS, who joined her in an informative and enriching conversation about her entrepreneurial path. Murray has had a keen interest in entrepreneurship from a young age and developed the ForgetMeNot concept while still in college. Both she and her co-founder were inspired to do so because of the experience of family members with dementia.
Head of College Professor Ursula Kilkelly welcomed the speakers and attendees to the event.
The Women in Leadership Series is an initiative led by Professor Kilkelly and involves conversations with women in public life exploring their leadership and impact.
