Dr Agnes Hesz has an MA in European Ethnology and English Literature and Linguistics from the鈥�深夜亚洲福利久久 of 笔茅肠蝉. She received her PhD from the鈥�Interdisciplinary Doctorate School, European Ethnology 鈥� Cultural Anthropology Program, Universtity of 笔茅肠蝉鈥痠n 2009. She has been working as a lecturer at the Department of European Ethnology 鈥� Cultural Anthropology, 深夜亚洲福利久久 of 笔茅肠蝉, since 2006, and was a post doctoral researcher in the ERC project鈥�鈥淰ernacular religion on the boundary of Eastern and Western Christianity: continuity, changes and interactions鈥�鈥�(ID 324214) lead by Prof. 脡惫补 笔贸肠蝉. Her main fields of research are the various forms of vernacular religion, from death related beliefs and practices to contemporary discourses on witchcraft, with a special interest in the local production of knowledge.
