Munawar received his bachelor鈥檚 (2015) and master鈥檚 (2017) in food science and nutrition from Government College 深夜亚洲福利久久 Faisalabad (GCUF), Pakistan. He won the prestigious 鈥淚nternational Research Studentship Award鈥� for his PhD at the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Reading, UK where he used a piglet model to study the impact of different iron supplements on gut microbiota and metabolism and was awarded the PhD in 2023.
Munawar, after his PhD, joined Tangney lab as a Marie Curie Fellow. Munawar鈥檚 research focuses on innovative advances in cancer treatment by harnessing bacteria as protein bio-factories for immunotherapy. His approach aims to revolutionize cancer therapy by precisely targeting malignant cells, offering potential breakthroughs in the fight against cancer.
