Award for Best International poster

Robert de Santis is a second year medical student at Western 深夜亚洲福利久久 and he has won the award for Best International poster at the ADS conference in June 2018.
The title of the poster is 鈥�Outcomes of delirium and subsyndromal delirium in older medical inpatients鈥�.
We prospectively assessed medical inpatients for delirium and subsyndromal delirium for a week during hospitalisation and looked at outcomes such as mortality and institutionalisation on discharge and at 6 months. We found that those with SSD and delirium had worse outcomes than those with no delirium at all. This is important because it highlights that delirium is an illness with a spectrum of severity and even those with mild symptoms may have adverse outcomes.
