Research Assistant wins 'Best Poster' at IGS Conference

The 68th IGS Annual Scientific Meeting took place virtually, on Thursday November 18th, 2021. The theme of this year鈥檚 conference was: 鈥70 Years of Change (1951-2021)鈥. 

The Centre for Gerontology and Rehabilitation had a strong turnout, presenting several abstracts at the conference. A list of the 6 presentations, which are authored or co-authored by researchers/students from the Centre for Gerontology and Rehabilitation, is outlined below. The abstracts for each of these presentations will be published in a forthcoming issue of 鈥楢ge & Ageing鈥.

Oral Presentations

  • Prof Suzanne Timmons delivered the following platform presentation on the day: 鈥淲hat Does 鈥楢ctive Ageing鈥 Mean to You?鈥 A Five-Country Survey of Academics, Students, Advocacy Groups, And 鈥楨xpert鈥 Older People (Daisy Wiggin, Suzanne Timmons, et al.)

The CGR wish to congratulate Ms Daisy Wiggin, a research assistant in the Centre, for winning 鈥楤est Poster鈥 at the IGS conference. This study was entitled: 鈥業nvestigating Learning Needs, Outcomes, And Curricula in Healthy and Active Ageing: A Scoping Review and Multinational Survey鈥.
