Celebrating Innovation in Learning and Teaching at UCC Medicine and Health Showcase

Our colleagues proudly represented our School, with an innovative Lego workshop delivered by Sinead Moynihan, alongside engaging presentations on Innovation in Practice Education also from Sinead Moynihan and Jean Harrington, and valuable student perspectives from Margaret Quigley and Laura Vesey as part of the AIPEC session.
In addition, our School contributed not just one but an impressive five poster presentations across a range of topics, with colleagues from Speech and Language Therapy and Physiotherapy strongly represented. These included work on enhancing inclusion health education through reusable learning objects, using service initiative projects to enhance student learning on clinical placement, and demonstrating community engagement with the Down Syndrome Centre in first-year Speech and Language Therapy clinics.

It was a highly rewarding day, marked by collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a strong sense of collective purpose. Events such as this continue to demonstrate the importance and impact of interprofessional education in shaping practice and research.

Many thanks to the College of Medicine and Health for hosting such a well-organised and inspiring event. Sincere thanks also to our colleagues Ciara Hanrahan, Maria Hill, Ciara O鈥橳oole, Helen Kelly, Niamh Coveney, Aidan O' Shea, Ursula Wedel, Aaron Cole, Kelly Coghlan-Lynch, Norma Kerrisk, Kerrie O'Grady, and many others for their contributions.
