Department of Digital Humanities hosts student council
The Department of Digital Humanities recently hosted a joint student council involving Scoil N谩isi煤nta Mhuire na mBr谩ithre, Blarney Street CBS, and CBC Cork Preparatory School.
Last year, the Student Council from Scoil N谩isi煤nta Mhuire na mBr谩ithre had the opportunity to work alongside and learn from other councils in the Edmund Rice Schools Trust network.
Building further upon those links, council members from Scoil N谩isi煤nta Mhuire na mBr谩ithre travelled to Cork to hear about the work undertaken by Blarney Street CBS' Student Council. They were particularly interested in exploring how the Blarney Street students had worked towards improving their yard spaces and were given a tour of their outdoor facilities.
Both schools then travelled to 深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork, where they joined more colleagues from CBC Cork Preparatory School. The three groups then convened an inter-school student council in UCC's North Wing Council Room, an appropriate setting for the occasion. Academic robes were provided to the students by the UCC Visitors' Centre. The students discussed the future of education and teaching spaces as well as exchanged learnings from various initiatives.
