Department of English Students Highly Commended in Global Awards
The judging panel of the prestigious Global Undergraduate Awards has deemed El谩ir N铆 Thuama and Laura Shelly highly commended entrants for 2020 in the literature category.
El谩ir's submission was an essay titled "The Commodification of Robot Bodies in Westworld (1973) and Ira Levin鈥檚 The Stepford Wives" (1972), while Laura's was an essay titled "Dane or Dubliner: A Postcolonial Reading of James Joyce鈥檚 Allusions to Hamlet in Ulysses". The Department of English congratulates them and wishes them continuing success in all of their future endeavours.
