A number of traditional music students at the Department of Music will perform at the opening of the upcoming RT脡 Radio 1 Folk Awards at Vicar Street on Thursday 17th November.
The event will be presented by John Creedon and broadcast live on RT脡 Radio 1 from 8pm, with a special highlights programme to be aired on RT脡 One television on Saturday 21st November.

The Music Department at UCC are delighted to host Trad Talk 2022, a one-day symposium focused on a diverse range of issues in the Irish traditional arts community. The event will take place in Boole 3 on the main UCC Campus on Saturday, November 5th. Curated by the traditional arts resource organisation, Trad Ireland, the symposium will include discussion and performances from a range of national and international contributors working in the Irish traditional arts sector.
To mark 100 years of Irish traditional music at UCC, the Trad Talk programme will also reflect on the significance of this milestone centenary for both the 深夜亚洲福利久久 and the wider Irish traditional music community.
The inaugural Trad Talk, a professional development symposium held in Dublin Castle on Saturday November 16th 2019, included key input from international speakers, and drew on diverse experiences of developing artist support structures in other jurisdictions.

The Department of Music at UCC is delighted to present a concert celebrating 100 years of Irish Traditional Music at 深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork. One of a series of events honoring the centenary, this week's FUAIM Friday Lunchtime Concert will take place at 1:10pm at the Aula Maxima.
The performance will feature a host of internationally celebrated staff and current students, alongside our 2022 Traditional Artist in Residence, 颁补颈迟濒铆苍 Nic Gabhann.
The concert also marks the launch of Celebrating 100 Years of Irish Traditional Music at UCC: Volume 1, a new album of Irish Traditional Music, and an accompanying companion webpage produced by the Department of Music to showcase our vibrant traditional music community.

As part of Harp Ireland鈥檚 L谩 na Cruite / Harp Day celebrations UCC Trad Soc presented 鈥淗arpers in the Honan鈥 to a capacity audience on October 11th 2022. The intimate concert featured performances by UCC harp tutor Niamh O' Brien, music students Sophie Ryan and Donnchadh Mac Aodha, with 脡il铆s Needham, and members of the Glissando Harp Ensemble.
Performances on the night will come from Aula Maxima, The Honan Chapel and The Glucksman Gallery on The UCC Campus and feature stunning sets from alt-electronic artist and member of the Soft Boy Collective
