Abstract
The Poetics of the Body is a theoretical approach to working through the complex of embodiment and subjectivity in contemporary literary criticism and in historical literary case studies. The body as subject and agent of writing reflects on its conditio humana, transcends cognitivist limitations and enables new views and ethical approaches towards animal and natural life.
