Dr Ian Calliou will speak on The Re-Imagining Food Systems Project, a collaborative initiative of the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Manitoba. It aims to develop climate-resilient food systems in partnership with Indigenous communities. The project focuses on improving access to traditional foods and creating sustainable food systems through an Indigenous circular-economy model, focusing on climate-adaptive food systems, food sovereignty, and economic growth.

Ian Calliou is a Research Associate at the Faculty of Law, 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Manitoba and a Lecturer in Indigenous Development at the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Winnipeg, Canada. He is concerned with using Indigenous research methods as a means of examining contemporary social, structural, and political themes. His research has explored transitional justice, reconciliation, and grass-roots organizations. He has conducted research with NGOs working with populations in transit on access to education and human rights, especially in youth.
