Temporary accommodation settings, such as hostels, ‘bed and breakfasts’ and shelters, are not meant to be 'homes' yet many homeless women live in these for a number of years. Being homeless for some women can mean more than just the loss of home: it also affects the ability to perform mothering work and many other social and familial practices that are dependent on the spaces of home. Professor Beverley Clough, Manchester Metropolitan ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã, and Dr Henrietta Zeffert, UCC School of Law, considered these issues in a roundtable discussion group they hosted last week with colleagues at Manchester Law School.
