Irish Embassy in Brussels Stage for Second Annual Alumni & Friends Event
UCC School of Law held its second annual Alumni & Friends event in the Irish Embassy in Brussels on Monday 21 October.
Judge Tony Collins, adjunct professor at UCC, delivered the keynote address on the opportunities and risks of Brexit, while Dean Mark Poustie spoke to alumni about the new Chair in EU Law created by alumnus Aidan Synnott鈥檚 philanthropic donation to the School.
The event was emceed by Dr Declan Walsh; also present from the School of Law were Dr 脕ine Ryall and Dr Fidelma White. UCC alumni were welcomed to the Embassy by Ambassador Helena Nolan, Ireland鈥檚 representative to Belgium, who spoke about the value of alumni networking and connection. Ambassador Maeve Collins, Ireland鈥檚 permanent representative to the EU and herself a UCC graduate, was also in attendance.
