Graduate Education Manager (GEM) is UCC's research student admin platform. GEM manages processes such as academic progression, registration change requests, examinations and more. 

Login to GEM  

• Please note you must be currently registered as a student to login to GEM.  
• You must re-register for every year of your research programme.

Modules 

• You cannot register for modules on GEM. Please refer to the following: 

• Module Registration for Research Students instructions  

• UCC Policy on Modules for Research Students 

• Completed modules will be listed under the Modules section on your GEM profile.  

• If your module information on GEM is incorrect, please email graduateeducationmanager@ucc.ie with the details, including your student number.  

Research Registration Change Requests 

• All changes to research registration are processed on GEM, e.g. change of thesis title, change of supervisory team etc. 

• Please refer to the guides for step-by-step instructions.  

• Research Registration Change Request queries can be sent to pgresearch@ucc.ie  

Emails from GEM 

• All notifications/reminders/alerts from GEM will only be sent to your UCC Umail student email address. Please check your student email account regularly. 
• Emails from GEM will come from Cayuse. Cayuse is the GEM platform supplier. These emails are not spam, so please do not ignore them.

• GEM queries should be sent to graduateeducationmanager@ucc.ie. Please include your UCC student number in all email correspondence.
