CoMH Celebrates 37 Quercus College Scholarship Recipients
The Quercus College Scholarships acknowledge the academic achievement of students who have achieved top marks in the CoMH examinations of Summer 2024.
Each year Quercus nurtures a handful of minds, believed to have the potential to grow beyond all expectation. This is a cause for acknowledgement and a great celebration for the students, their friends and their family. Students from as far away as Canada and Lithuania received the scholarship demonstrating the international reach of the College of Medicine and Health, UCC.
Professor Helen Whelton congratulated all 37 recipients across the entire College: 鈥淭oday, we gather to recognise the outstanding achievements of our Quercus scholarship recipients. This ceremony is a celebration of their hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence. At 深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork we believe in creating an environment in which academic excellence can be combined with opportunities for personal development. Quercus is the Latin for oak, and is used as a symbol in UCC 鈥 鈥榝rom acorn to mighty oak鈥 鈥 to represent the growth and development of an individual that arises from nurturing talent through support, challenge, and mentoring. Today we see and celebrate that growth.鈥
