The Impact of an Academic Health Sciences System: The Newcastle Experience

CoMH invites you to join , Director, Newcastle Health Innovation Partners and , Head of the College of Medicine and Health at UCC, and CAO, SSWHG for a discussion on Thursday 26th October.

This talk will be of great interest to anyone interested in the future of healthcare in Ireland. Sl谩intecare presents a unique opportunity to foster deeper alignment between Irish Healthcare and partners in education, clinical research, informatics, innovation, and where relevant, industry. Implementation of Sl谩intecare is best achieved using an Academic Health Science System (AHSS) model where teaching, training, research, and innovation are integrated into all aspects of clinical care to improve patient outcomes and provide added value to the State.

At a national level, the Chief Academic Officer group, a group chaired by Professor Helen Wheltonis working towards developing integrated academic healthcare for the Irish population (underpinning Sl谩intecare) using the Academic Health Sciences System model.
