| Module Objective: | This module will give students personal insight into their own leadership style and will asssist them in gaining knowledge and skills of project management at a community level. |
| Module Content: |
Models of leadership: Theory and practice. Exploration of students' own leadership skills and experiences of internalised oppression. Organisation and group culture. Leadership within the context of social activism. |

On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:

| Assessment: | Total Marks 200: Continuous Assessment 200 marks (1 x 1,000 word Journal of Learning on Personal Leadership, 80 marks; 1 x 1,500 word project plan for a hypothetical Community Development Project outlining the steps involved in start up, 120 marks). |
| Compulsory Elements: | Continuous Assessment. |
| Penalties (for late submission of course/project work etc.): | Where work is submitted up to and including 7 days late, 5% of the total marks available shall be deducted from the mark achieved. Where work is submitted up to and including 14 days late, 10% of the total marks available shall be deducted from the mark achieved. Work submitted 15 days late or more shall be assigned a mark of zero. |

| End of Year Written Examination Profile: | No Formal Written Examination. |
