深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork鈥檚 riverside campus will again be the backdrop to the sounds of the best household names and emerging artists, as the university hosts Other Voices for a second time this September.
Taking place on Thursday 28 September, and hosted by MayKay, this year鈥檚 event will continue to celebrate the phenomenal breadth and diversity of Irish music right now. Following the huge success of last year鈥檚 Other Voices 鈥楤ringing It All Back Home: UCC鈥�, this year鈥檚 collaboration promises another evening of artistic brilliance and unmissable performances taking place live and online.
Chart-topping pop-rock group Picture This, Choice Music Prize nominated singer-songwriter Niamh Regan, Cork鈥檚 own alt-rock six-piece Cardinals and critically acclaimed Ballymun hip-hop-jazz collective Bricknasty are among the first Irish acts to be announced. The event will also feature a soaring Other Voices debut from Sekou - the 18 year old rising star of UK soul with more artists to be announced soon.
2022鈥檚 inaugural event captured the imagination of music fans around the world with outstanding live sets from Cork鈥檚 own Cian Ducrot who this month topped the charts in Ireland and the UK with his debut album Victory, Mercury Prize nominee SOAK, industry favourite Biig Piig and .
This year鈥檚 intimate performances will be captured across UCC鈥檚 campus with the historic Aula Maxima once again being transformed into the main stage, with other locations including the The Glucksman Gallery and Honan Chapel set to host an eclectic melting pot of sounds, with performances being livestreamed to the world via the .
Music fans have a chance to attend with a limited number of golden tickets by entering a public lottery at this link, while additional tickets will also be made available through competitions in the coming weeks.
Beyond the livestreamed performances, homegrown talent will take centre stage with the 鈥極ther Voices of UCC鈥� warm up concert taking place in The Hub from 1pm - 3pm.
Continuing its mission of celebrating what鈥檚 about to happen, the 鈥楿CC Amplified鈥� initiative will give one lucky act the opportunity to play at 鈥極ther Voices of UCC鈥� and follow in the footsteps of Dermot Kennedy, Fontaines D.C., Pillow Queens and more by performing on the Dingle Distillery Music Trail line up at Other Voices this December. The music will be just wonderful with a really special appearance by Picture This in the Aula Maxima before they headline two huge shows in the 3 Arena in October. Our mission at Other Voices has always been to celebrate what's about to happen and the musical life of UCC will be celebrated across the campus with performances in The Honan Chapel, The Glucksman Gallery and The Aula Max.
