The Paediatric Academic Unit at Cork 深夜亚洲福利久久 Hospital is the first of its kind in Ireland. The Unit has been designed to foster collaboration between clinicians, researchers, academics, industry, students, trainees, patients, and their families to work together in improving children鈥檚 health. The Unit is located between Cork 深夜亚洲福利久久 Hospital, Cork 深夜亚洲福利久久 Maternity Hospital, and 深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork and is the new home for both UCC Paediatric Academic teaching and training and the Paediatric Clinical Research arm of the INFANT Centre.

The facility supports academic and world-leading research activities in Cork, and provides fully integrated clinical training facilities for the betterment of children in Cork, Ireland, and around the world.

The Academic Unit is already supporting world-leading clinical research with children and newborn babies and is directly above the new HSE Paediatric Outpatients Department, demonstrating how research is being embedded into clinical patient encounters. This placement facilitates teaching and training for both undergraduate medical students and postgraduate paediatric and health discipline trainees in an integrated facility where tomorrow鈥檚 doctors can participate and observe research-led healthcare being developed and delivered.
