This $100,000 grant will support Dr. Boland鈥檚 research in the Dept. of Pharmacology and Therapeutics for the next two years. Dr. Boland鈥檚 research is focused on understanding how an impairment of cellular waste clearance by lysosomes, contributes to neurodegeneration in Alzheimer鈥檚 disease. This grant will allow Dr. Boland to continue his translational research collaboration with Prof. William Molloy (School of Medicine, UCC), which was established last year with seed funding support from the School of Medicine鈥檚 Translational Research Access Programme (TRAP).
