2022 Perrigo Scholarship theme announced
The theme of this year鈥檚 Perrigo Scholarship will focus on 鈥淧harmacy Heros of the Pandemic鈥�
The Perrigo Scholarships for UCC's pharmacy students is an exciting initiative set up by UCC's Pharmacy Society (PharmSoc) with the generous support of Perrigo and mediated by The School of Pharmacy.
PharmSoc were delighted to have Mr. Paul Hatton, National Field Sales Controller for Perrigo Ireland from Perrigo, visit the School on the 9th of February where he gave pharmacy students and School staff an overview into the contributions Perrigo makes to pharmacy, both locally in Ireland and globally.
The theme behind Perrigo's Scholarship in 2021 focused on student mental health and wellbeing and involved pharmacy students creating video vignettes of strategies they use to relax and take a break from their pharmacy studies and the stresses and strains of life in general. The standard of the videos produced was exceptionally high. A huge congratulations to Siobh谩n Nestor, Eoghan Lehane, Seona Willins, Gr谩inne Curran and Br铆delle Cronin who were the 2021 Perrigo Scholarship awardees. View videos here - Photo and Video Gallery
This year, PharmSoc are delighted to announce that the 2022 Perrigo Scholarship will also involve students creating video vignettes with the theme of "Pharmacy Heros" - documenting the contributions pharmacists have made during the pandemic. Three scholarships will be awarded. This scholarship will hopefully lighten the financial pressures students face and contribute to their fees.
