School of Pharmacy PhD Researcher Engages in EU COST Action Discussions on Biofilm Regulation in Porto

Sara Alsheikh, a first-year PhD researcher supervised by Dr Katie Ryan and Prof Cormac Gahan, recently took part in the first working group meeting for the EU COST Action CA23152 鈥� Building Consensus on Biofilm Regulatory Decision Making (Regulatory Toolbox).
Held on 5-6 February 2025 in Porto, Portugal, the meeting brought together experts from across the EU to discuss the challenges in biofilm regulatory decision making, to help close the gap between academic research and regulatory science in the scope of microbial biofilms.
