Photonics Ireland 2025
The biannual Photonics Ireland Conference took place on Wednesday 3rd to Friday 5th September 2025 in Radisson, Little Island, Cork.
The conference was attended by over 200 delegates and was organised by , , and . Keynote speakers at the event included (HKUST), (Dartmouth College) and (Meta). There was also an industry session with talks given by , , and
Staff from the School of Physics, including Dr. Bryan Kelleher, Dr. Andreas Ruschhaupt, Dr. Christopher Broderick, Dr. Stefan Schulz, Dr. Robert Sheehan, Prof. Frank Peters and Prof. Andy Ruth presented their latest photonics research results.
Several UCC Physics students gave talks or presented posters, including Aisling Power, Barry Lynch, Neil O'Connor, Rub茅n Santana Alonso, D谩ire Hannon, 脫rla McElhatton, Odhran Liston, Jordan Walsh, Diarmuid O'Sullivan, S茅an O'Donoghue, Paul Wills and Jarni Braal.
