Dr Siobhain O'Mahony's work profiled in Finnish Turun Sanoma

Congratulations to Dr Siobhain O鈥橫ahony Lecturer in the Department of Anatomy & Neuroscience who recently travelled to Finland to present her work at a Minisymposium 鈥淏rain-Gut-Microbiome axis鈥� in the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Turku. The symposium was held by -a research project studying the combined influence of environmental and genetic factors on the development of a child. 

The titles of Siobhain鈥檚 presentations were 鈥楩unctional Gut-Brain axis-Can Gut Bugs Affect our Mood and Emotion鈥� and 鈥淓arly-Life Stress as a Model of Dysfunctional Gut-Brain axis鈥�. Her latest publication on the microbiome is published in and addresses the involvement of the gut bacteria in anti-psychotic induced weight gain.
