William McCarthy successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled "An Evaluation of Orogenic Kinematic Evolution Utilizing Crystalline and Magnetic Anisotropy in Granitoids" on 30th July.
This project was supervised by Dr John Reavy, the External Examiner was Professor Brendan Murphy from St Francis Xavier 深夜亚洲福利久久, Antigonish, Nova Scotia and the internal examiner was Dr Pat Meere.
William was offered a one year post as in Highlands 深夜亚洲福利久久 New Mexico, USA and started there in early August.
