The Cork Geological Association(CGA) was founded in 1992. CGA provide monthly lectures and regular geological fieldtrips for interested amateurs and the general public.
The association is an outreach activity of the Geology discipline, School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences, 深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork. Lectures are held in the Enterprise Centre, North Mall Campus, UCC (Eircode for venue: T23 TK30). The Cork Geological Association is grateful for the continued support of the Geological Survey Ireland.

| April 29th | at 7.30pm a lecture given by Prof. Ken Higgs, UCC, entitled 鈥淎 Middle Devonian Terrestrial Ecosystem: evidence from Valentia Island鈥� in association with Cork Lifelong Learning Festival 2026. What have we learned about the ecosystem in which the early tetrapods lived? What tempted creatures to come out of the water and onto the land? Come along and see the evidence for yourself. |
| May 27th | 7.00pm The 34th Cork Geological Association AGM 7.30pm A Lecture given by Dr. Robbie Goodhue. Trinity College Dublin entitled 鈥淎ggregate use in building materials, and the defective concrete block problem鈥� |
Venue for events: Ted Nevill Lab, Enterprise Centre, North Mall, UCC. Refreshments will be available. All Welcome.
