VACANCY: Lectureship in Environmental Science
Permanent Whole Time Post. UCC wishes to appoint an experienced academic to the role of Lecturer in Environmental Science. Reporting to the Head of School, the appointee will be required to develop and teach modules as part of the undergraduate and postgraduate curricula in Environmental Science.
Research interests will complement those of the School, but expertise in freshwater resources management, environmental health and risk assessment will be especially valuable. However, all areas of expertise in Environmental Science will be considered. Applicants must be research active, demonstrating evidence of peer-reviewed publications, and the potential to establish or further develop a research programme attracting external funding with collaborative links nationally and internationally. In addition experience of innovative e-learning methods that could be applied within the School would be beneficial.
BEES is a highly research-active school comprising 29 academic staff and more than 100 researchers, including postdoctoral researchers. BEES also has strong links to the ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã’s Environmental Research Institute (), the and national research Centres and industry. We offer a number of highly regarded taught undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes (including the UN GEMS programme: /en/gemscdc/ ), as well as contributing to inter-disciplinary degree programmes in the ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã.

Appointment may be made on the €33,481 - €59,132. Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
