BSc in Biochemistry Conferring 2017
Forty of our BSc (Hons) Biochemistry students graduated at a ceremony on Thursday, 19th October.
Professor Rosemary O鈥機onnor, Head of School, introduced the graduands and President Patrick O鈥橲hea presented the parchments to the students. An inspirational commencement address was given to the graduates by Mr John Rea, Du Pont. Mr Rea graduated from UCC in 1997 with a BSc in Food Science and worked at Du Pont since 2008, holding several difference positions and his current role is Vice President of the Global Business Unit Leader - Health Division at Du Pont.
Following the conferring ceremony Carolyn Murray was presented with the Art Champlin Gold Medal as top Biochemistry graduate. Carolyn is completing a two year Rotational Graduate Programme in Boston Scientific.
The staff in the School would like to wish the BSc Biochemistry graduates every success in their future careers.
