Professor Tom Cotter has worked in Biochemistry since 1995, when he was appointed as Chair and Head of Biochemistry.

The annual Eli Lilly undergraduate and postgraduate awards for academic excellence were held on Tuesday 26th February. The students who achieved the highest grades in the MSc Biotechnology programme and in the undergraduate Biochemistry programme were presented with their award by Dr Deirdre Buckley, TSMS Team Leader at Eli Lilly.

The Biochemistry and Biotechnology Society UCC hosted an information seminar on MSc Programmes at UCC in the Life Science area on Tuesday, 22 January 2019.

Tuesday evening November 6th, saw the UCC Biochemistry and Biotechnology鈥檚 sole breakout event of the year 鈥� a riveting postgraduate seminar, hosted by our chairs Claire Cronin and Maeve O鈥� Sullivan.

A careers event held by Johnson and Johnson was collaboratively organised between the UCC Biochemistry & Biotechnology society and WiSTEM society. The careers workshop was presented by personnel from Johnson & Johnson.
