Guidelines for GMOs in the lab

What are GMOs?

鈥淕enetically modified organism鈥 means an organism in which the genetic material has been altered in a way that does not occur naturally by mating or natural recombination, or by a combination of both ()

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) can comprise GM plants, GM animals (also known as transgenic plants or transgenic animals) and are inclusive of Genetically Modified Micro-organisms (GMMs).

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs - Plants & Animals) Forms

For contained use of a Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO Plant & Animals) under  the following items are required:

1.  A cover letter including information on user, premises and GMO are required under legislation.

2. A risk assessment must be carried out following regulatory guidelines
