Postgraduate Certificates in Teaching and Learning

Dr. Aoife O鈥橲ullivan and Dr. Ian O鈥機onnor, Technical Officers for 1^st Year Chemistry students, have been awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.

This online course is run by the Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) in UCC. This certified and accredited programme is designed to give teaching staff an opportunity to develop their teaching in support of student learning.

On鈥恎oing innovation is important in ensuring that the learning and teaching in universities is high quality, up鈥恡o鈥� date, relevant, and delivered in a variety of suitable ways. By the end of last academic year 70% of UCC staff who teach will hold a qualification in teaching and learning, a figure that sets the benchmark for other universities across Ireland.
