UCC Chemistry student chairs WiSTEM in UCC

The School wishes to congratulate Sara Ann Biju who is currently chairing the WiSTEM Scoiety in UCC while undertaking her final year studies in Chemistry.

Prof Anita Maguire, Head of School said, "Congratulations to Sara Ann on her leadership role – we are proud to have one of our students leading out on this important initiative. The School places a very high priority on EDI having recently received renewal of our Athena Swan award – Sara Ann is an excellent role model for our students."

Dr Elizabeth Gilchrist, Chair of EDI Committee in the School said, "Supporting the development of women in STEM is hugely important so I am delighted to see one of our students chairing WiSTEM and championing gender diversity within these fields."
