School of Chemistry researcher awarded for research presentation in Warsaw

The School of Chemistry wishes to congratulate Vaishali Vardhan on being awarded the "Effective Communication Award for PhD Students".

This award was given in recognition of her engaging presentation on "Ammonia Sensing via Pseudo Molecular Doping in UV-Activated Ambipolar Silicon Nanowire Transistors" at the Fall Meeting 2025 held in Warsaw, Poland, which was one of the largest gatherings of materials scientists from across Europe and beyond. This was presented at the Symposium S: ‘Nanomaterials of the Future: Advancements in Energy and Sensing’. 

Prof. Anita Maguire, Head of School congratulated Vaishali saying "It is great to see Vaishali’s work recognised through this award, and the School is proud to see her skills being appreciated on an international stage."
