Abstract

Since the late 20th century, the rise of conservative and reactionary groups in the West has generated profound interest in right-wing movements and their connection to Christianity. This volume analyzes the “blue tide” that has brought them to power in Europe and Latin America, highlighting the preeminence of neo-Pentecostalism in the region over historical Catholicism. The work explores how these movements use social media to spread post-truths, polarize, and legitimize violence by invoking “God, Country, and Home.” Through a historical, comparative, and interdisciplinary review, this book places the religious phenomenon at the center of the analysis.
