Congratulations to Diana Gabriela Morillo Fueltala (鈥淕abriela鈥�) on passing her PhD viva.  Prof. Jorge Sa Silva from the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Coimbra was the External Examiner and Prof. Cormac Sreenan was the Internal Examiner. Prof. Utz Roedig was the primary supervisor and  Prof. Dirk Pesch the co-supervisor. Gabriela鈥檚 thesis is entitled 鈥淒etecting Targeted interference in the Internet of Things鈥� and proposed a novel technique for an IoT device (that uses cellular Narrowband IoT communications) to detect attacks which target certain important system messages. The examiners were impressed especially by the technical depth of the research, and by Gabriela鈥檚 clear and confident handling of the various questions. We wish Gabriela all the best for the future.
