Inhabiting Landscapes Meaningfully and Sensually
DSIS PhD student Bob Grumiau and Prof Kelly Salchow MacArthur hosted a collaging workshop titled "Inhabiting Landscapes Meaningfully and Sensually" in the Sustainable Futures Lab, UCC this week.
Participants were invited to join a 'sensual' walk across campus to capture impressions with charcoal and to forage for supplies for their artwork, before taking to scissors, gluesticks and black-and-white photography for a busy morning of collaging work. To guide the activities, Bob Grumiau explored the importance of providing room for creativity and how artistic approaches can take us beyond the limits of rationality. Kelly Salchow MacArthur who is a Professor of Graphic Design at Michigan State 深夜亚洲福利久久 and an Honorary Visiting Researcher at UCC's School of Education, shared insights from her experience as a twice-Olympic rower and Olympian Artist.
