Sally Hayden in Conversation with Professor Ursula Kilkelly
On Thursday September 12th, UCC鈥檚 Aula Maxima was near capacity with people eager to hear from internationally renowned humanitarian, journalist, and photographer Sally Hayden.
Invited by UCC School of English and Digital Humanities and the UCC Book Club, the award-winning journalist and author, Sally Hayden, sat down with the Vice president for Global Engagement, Professor Ursula Kilkelly.
The interview chartered Sally鈥檚 career path and the circumstances which led to her writing her award-winning book My Fourth Time, We Drowned. The interview was followed by a stimulating Q and A, with one woman poignantly thanking Sally for responding to those in need, when so many refused to listen. The event, organised by Dr Ruth Hally and Dr Cliona O鈥橤allchoir and supported by UCC鈥檚 School of English and Digital Humanities, and the UCC Staff Bookclub, attracted people from across the country and demonstrated UCC鈥檚 values as a 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Sanctuary.
