FITU Welcomes ‘Diploma in Corporate Direction (Food Business)’ to UCC Campus

The Food Industry Training Unit UCC and ICOS Skillnet were delighted to welcome participants of the Diploma in Corporate Direction (Food Business) to UCC Campus on July 8^th & 9^th 2025.

Participants* immersed themselves in ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã life while attending their second module on ’Corporate Governance’. This module covered topics on co-operative and conventional business principles, characteristics, structures and processes as well as the role and responsibilities of directors and senior management.

Participants enjoyed learners from lecturers like Dr Bridget Carroll and John Doran from the , as well as guest speakers like TJ Flanagan and James Doyle from , Ted O’Sullivan from the Centre for Co-operative Studies, UCC and Dan Mac Sweeney (former CEO of Carbery Group and former chairman of the board of Bord Bia).

The Diploma is Level 7 (Special Purpose) in the National Framework of Qualifications. Accreditation for the programme rests with ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã College Cork.}
