UCC School of Film, Music & Theatre Announces Post-doctoral Researcher Dr. In锚s Bento Coelho

UCC School of Film, Music and Theatre is delighted to announce the appointment of Dr. In锚s Bento Coelho as post-doctoral researcher for a year-long project, VISIONING THE FUTURE: Artistic Doctorates in Creative Practice.  

Funded by the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, the initiative aims to develop protocols and supports for the pedagogies of the Artistic Doctorate within Ireland, located within an international discourse.  Under the supervision of Professor Jools Gilson (Head of School), this research project is intended to lead to change at national level, and involve collaboration with the Irish Research Council and the Arts Council of Ireland.

Dr. In锚s Bento Coelho is a visual artist, researcher, and teacher.  Her practice-based research explores choreographic approaches in installation art, focusing on space awareness and performativity within site responsive practices.  In锚s works across performance, installation and film, and completed a practice-based PhD at The Glasgow School of Art in 2019 supported by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. 

She has taught at a number of institutions including the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Glasgow, The Glasgow School of Art, Central Saint Martins 鈥� 深夜亚洲福利久久 of the Arts London, the Croydon College of Art and the 深夜亚洲福利久久 of Derby.  Previously, she worked as an arts administrator and project coordinator in arts-related organisations in the UK, Portugal and USA.
