Alumni work at Cork Midsummer Festival
The Cork Midsummer festival starts today!
There are many shows that involve UCC alumni, staff and friends listed below but also many more. Come to the Midsummer Festival June 13-22.
Dolphin murder, plays for one, pins and needles and goldfish tales are some of the experiences awaiting audiences this Cork Midsummer, starting today!
We are delighted to see so many alumni from UCC Theatre, and the School of Film, Music and Theatre creating exciting work showcased in the festival once again this year... This year marks the return of the show 鈥鈥, with a Made in Cork edition! The iconic theatre booth returns featuring work by Inaugural Theatre Artist in Residence John McCarthy, alumni Katie Holly and is co-directed by Julie Kelleher.

Two exciting shows written and performed by Irene Kelleher, will also be presented at the festival! 鈥鈥, directed by Laura O'Mahoney, and 鈥鈥 directed by Regina Crowley.

Returning to Midsummer are the talented Oh!Scare Wilde, a Graduate Company formed in the final year of the Theatre BA. Their play 鈥鈥 will be performed in the Granary Theatre, written and performed by Aaron O'Neill, directed by Dee Finn, and including many UCC alums in the production team including Alana Daly Mulligan, Ronan O'Shea, Maeve Scannell, Adam O'Donovan.

The circus experience 鈥鈥, written and performed by Will Flanagan, will take to the Marina Market show space for a surreal and enchanting performance.

Don鈥檛 miss 鈥鈥 by creator & voice artist Regina Crowley with lighting design by Hanan Sheedy, an immersive theatre and sound installation that brings us into a world suspended.

Finally, the show 鈥溾 will be taking over the Firkin Crane in a full-body celebration of LGBTQI+++ resilience and radical joy! From artistic director and UCC Theatre鈥檚 own Yvon Bonenfant and featuring the involvement of many UCC alumni and staff.
