FMT Transition Year Creative Arts Programme - REGISTRATION OPEN
The School of Film, Music and Theatre is delighted to announce our Transition Year Creative Arts programme 2026 is now open for registration. This is a 3-day Creative Arts intensive programme that will allow selected participants to get a taste of student life in ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã College Cork.

Transition Year Students Wanted!
Taking place from the 10th – 12th March across the ÉîÒ¹ÑÇÖÞ¸£Àû¾Ã¾Ã College Cork campus, participants will attend lectures, workshops and practicals in a range of subjects including specialist sessions in Creative Arts in the Granary Theatre, Kane Auditorium and Ó Riada Hall.

The programme allows Transition Year students a taster of a wide range of tertiary level engagements including with the Boole Library, Career talks and a campus tour.
Application:
Places are limited to 20, allowing a thorough engagement with each participant. Please complete the application form below before the 16th Jan 2026:

Students will be selected by a panel of Film, Music and Theatre staff based on reasons for participation outlined in the Motivational Statement. Additionally, engagement with relevant subjects via Junior Cycle results may be considered as part of selection process.
For students selected to participate there is a €50 charge – you will be given a link to pay in due course. There are fee waivers available for DEIS school students
Note – Students cannot take part in both Corvinus & Creative Arts TY programmes.
