Knowledge Translation Clinic Helps Researchers Develop Impact-Focused Plans

9 Jun 2026

The Health Implementation Research Hub recently hosted a Knowledge Translation (KT) Clinic for researchers, practitioners, and students interested in strengthening the impact of their research.

The event took place on 21 May 2026 and was facilitated by implementation science and knowledge translation experts Dr Rachel Flynn (深夜亚洲福利久久 College Cork) and Dr Christine Cassidy (Dalhousie 深夜亚洲福利久久, IWK Health Centre).

Eight participants from a range of health and community settings attended the interactive workshop. Through a structured worksheet and facilitated discussions, attendees explored how to meaningfully engage knowledge users throughout the research process, from project design and implementation to interpretation and dissemination of findings.

Participants were guided through a series of activities designed to strengthen the knowledge translation components of their projects. This included identifying key knowledge users and partners, defining evidence-to-practice gaps, developing knowledge products, and planning approaches to evaluate and sustain impact. The clinic provided attendees with practical tools and expert feedback to support the co-production of research and the development of impact-focused grant applications.
