Creativity flourishing
Some good news from two of our graduates: Siobh谩n N铆 Dhomhnaill (BCL Law and Irish 2018, MA in Irish and European Law 2019) and Ant贸in 脫 D煤laing (BA 2018, MA in Modern Irish 2019)
Some good news from two of our graduates: Siobh谩n N铆 Dhomhnaill (BCL Law and Irish 2018, MA in Irish and European Law 2019) recently published her first collection of poetry Ait agus Iontach Bheith Beo (Coisc茅im 2021). This work was awarded a major prize at Listowel Writers鈥 Week and Siobh谩n was invited to read at the 脫 Bh茅al Winter Warmer festival before Christmas.
Ant贸in 脫 D煤laing (BA 2018, MA in Modern Irish 2019) spent a year teaching Irish in Slovakia and is now working as a writer and production assistant at Ros na R煤n. He鈥檚 clearly enjoying the job as he said recently 鈥淚 had no TV experience before this, but thanks to the MA in Modern Irish, I managed to get this position. I really like that I can develop my own writing daily as part of the job.鈥
Both Siobh谩n and Ant贸in took the module GA6035 Creative Writing with Dr Ailbhe N铆 Ghearbhuigh. It鈥檚 wonderful to see their development as writers and we wish them every success in the future!
