Gaeilge Lecturers Teaching in other Countries

Three lecturers from the Department of Modern Irish spent time teaching in other countries this spring under the Erasmus Plus scheme.

S铆le N铆 Mhurch煤 spent time at the Universit茅 de Tours where she taught classes on the Irish language and translation and gave a public lecture on the Irish in continental Europe in the seventeenth century. Katie N铆 Loingsigh spent time teaching in Uniwersytet Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie in Poland where she gave lectures on language and phraseology. She also took part in a research meeting on a Europe-wide project on phraseology. Ken 脫 Donnch煤 spent time teaching in Charles 深夜亚洲福利久久, Prague. He attended the Irish classes which Dr Radvan Markus teaches, and had an opportunity to chat with the students. He also gave a public lecture on Early Modern Irish Literature.
