As part of the Literarische Mehrsprachigkeit und ihre Didaktik conference, 26th June 2026, the roundtable discussion 'Translating World Literatures – Bachtyar Alis Werk in Übersetzung' will take place from 17.00 - 18.30 CET and can be joined online using the meeting invitation below.
The event (in Sorani, German and English) with the author Bachtyar Ali and his translators Rawezh Salim und Kareem Abdulrahman will be chaired by Myriam-Naomi Walburg (leader WG5) and COST member Hiwa Asadpour. This roundtable will be the first event to develop guidelines for diversifying literary events, with a specific focus on translated texts.
