In transitioning to a circular economy, innovative approaches are required to convert waste streams into novel resources. Duckweed (Lemnaceae spp.) is increasingly recognised as a promising species for wastewater remediation and valorisation, thus contributing to an innovative, sustainable bioeconomy.

The workshop will feature national and international expert speakers, creating a platform for knowledge exchange, learning from international best practice, interactive discussions and future collaboration. The emphasis of the workshop is on the use of duckweed species to generate value from agri-food waste streams and to promote a more sustainable, circular bioeconomy.
